Who is the Overlord?

The mysterious Overlord is a four-year e-wrestling veteran. The dark one first appeared in the Electronic Wrestling Federation is 1996 and instantly became a major player. The Overlord been a dominant player in every federation since then and will continue to do so until the end of time.

Currently, the Overlord is wrestling in the TmWF (ThaMaverick's Wrestling Federation), and is continuing to pursue his goals. The Overlord has been a perfectionist all of his life and has always yearned to completely fulfil what he wants.

What is the Dark Side?

The Dark Side was considered as the most destructive force in wrestling at one time. Comprising of many members in it's glorious history, the original members were Nucleus, Unknown, Grim Reaper and the ever powerful Overlord.

Members and followers went in and out of the Dark Side. Those who joined were smart, and those who left were foolish. The Dark Side was always a destructive force and success always came to those who were part of it. It grew by the days and worked in mysterious ways, proving to be unstoppable.

The History of the Overlord and the Dark Side

The Overlord first made his appearance in the Electronic Wrestling Federation, or EWF, in early 1996. An underdog, a marked man that everybody wanted a piece of, especially the current federation champion at the time, Magmar. After gaining the Intercontinental Title off of Hound, the Overlord began pursuing Magmar's federation title. Magmar was a three-time federation champion and had successfully defended the title for four straight months. A daunting task was ahead of the Overlord, who lost twice to Magmar attempting to capture the gold. Their third meeting saw the Overlord finally capture the title off of Magmar and end Magmar's four-month long reign. The Overlord lost the title three weeks later.

In September, the Overlord joined the World Wide Wrestling Federation, or WWWF, one week later. He was joined by a new tag team partner, the Grim Reaper. Together they were known as "Death Row". After capturing the tag team titles in December, the two began to pursue singles titles. After dropping the tag team titles, Grim Reaper captured the federation's European Title in February of 1997, and two weeks later, the Overlord captured the United States Title. The Overlord then began to push for the Federation top title. He successfully captured it two months later at the April pay-per-view, "Fear".

The Overlord lost the title in June and once again claimed the tag team titles with Grim Reaper in October of 1997. In January of 1998, the Overlord left the WWWF and joined Shawn's Wrestling Order, or SWO. In that time, the Overlord and Grim Reaper joined forces with the current tag team champions, Nucleus and Unknown. This was the very beginning of the Dark Side!

The Dark Side completely shook SWO in May when each of the four members possessed one of the federation's titles. Nucleus and Unknown possessed the tag team titles, Grim Reaper was in possession of the European Title and the Overlord held the SWO Intercontinental Title. Eventually, the Overlord was again the one to push for the Federation Title, and he captured it in style in October of 1998 in a memorable Buried Alive match up. The Overlord later dropped the title in November in order to move to a new federation.

In January of 1999, the four members of Dark Side were offered a position in the brand new Road Dogg Wrestling Federation, or RDWF. The small federation's president, Jesse James, set up a triple-threat match between the Overlord, Apocalypse and Lance Polar to determine the World Champion. Proving that he was the greatest, the Overlord hooked Apocalypse to become the World Champion - the federation's top title!

Later in April, the RDWF restarted with a larger roster and the Dark Side had introduced it's lady mistress, Miss Inca! The World Title was declared a title which was defended every six months, where a number one contender was determined through months of hard work! The Federation Title (not World) was introduced and a tournament held. Grim Reaper and the Overlord both entered the tournament. It was the Overlord who defeated Blast Master in the finals of the sixteen-man tournament to win the title at the RDWF pay-per-view, 'First Fury'.

The Dark Side grew that very night when it introduced five new members! The Thunder Corporation (Jerry Jolt, 'Fierce' Fox Williams & Electra) and the X-Wrestlers (Generation Kid & Killbot)! The Dark Side was stronger than every before and began it's mission to totally take over the control of the RDWF!

The night the new Dark Side was formed, it was already a team of champions. Miss Inca was the Women's Champion, the X-Wrestlers were Tag Team Champions, Generation Kid was the Cruiser Weight Champion, the Overlord was the Federation and World champion.

As the federation further progressed, Grim Reaper became the Intercontinental Champion, Jerry Jolt became the European Champion and more members joined the Dark Side. First, Inferno, then Chapel and also the Dark Side enforcer, Tungsten.

The federation then underwent a major revelation as the Overlord, Miss Inca and Inferno were revealed as family! The two brothers and sister had a mysterious background, which is unknown still to this day! Inferno underwent emotional problems in May of 1999 and turned on the Dark Side, and formed his own faction - the Brotherhood of Hellfire! This demonic faction included members such as Lucifer, Draven, Tempest, Skywalker, Hydro and Soul Reaper as well as Inferno. It proved a powerful rival to the Dark Side, but never did live up to it's promises. Inferno and the Overlord later grew apart.

The Overlord was no longer the Federation Champion, but he still had the most prized belt in the RDWF, the World Championship Title. In August of 1999, the number one contender was decided when the winner of battle royals from two previous pay-per-views fought one another. The Overlord's brother, Inferno took on Bishop in the RDWF's August pay-per-view, Highway to Hell. Bishop came out on top.

However, at the time, the Overlord was not at all concerned about that matchup. On the night, he was scheduled for a Balcony Match against Bleech, but most importantly, Soul Reaper (of Hellfire) was taking on President Road Dogg in a Cage Match for ownership to the RDWF! If Soul Reaper won the match, the Overlord's plans would have crushed and instead achieved by someone else! Fortunately, Bleech did not show up to the balcony, and the Overlord won the match by default. The Overlord later interfered in the match and cost Soul Reaper the ownership. He proclaimed the federation would soon be held by a more destructive force, but it wasn't the time, and it wouldn't be Hellfire.

On September 17, 1999, Road Dogg Wrestling Federation Commissioner, Johnny Michaels teamed up with Road Dogg Wrestling Federation President, Road Dogg against Death Row, the Overlord and Grim Reaper for the Ownership Title. The match ended in shock as Johnny gave the Overlord the Sweet Chin Music, then gave Road Dogg the Sweet Chin Music! Johnny pulled the Overlord over Road Dogg to allow them to win the title! After the match, Johnny and the Overlord announced that he had always been a part of the Dark Side and that the Dark Side's plans to take over the federation were complete!

One night later at the September pay-per-view, 'World War', Bishop faced the Overlord for the World Title! A lot of controversy was made after the end of the match. This was because just before the match, former president Road Dogg announced that he still had some power left in the booking of the World War pay-per-view event. The Overlord was introduced to the special-guest referee and enforcer, Lance Polar and Apocalypse - the Overlord's first two rivals in the federation! It was also deemed a no disqualification contest. With that heard, the Overlord punched out the two enforcers and later tombstone piledrivered Bishop on a car backstage to win the match and retain the title.

The Dark Side ruled the federation during the dark months where the federation was totally destroyed. Wrestlers were stripped of their titles and the federation was renamed the Dark Side Wrestling Federation. However, it wasn't good for the Dark Side. The power of the Overlord and Johnny Michaels went too far, and the Dark Side broke up. Two months later in November of 1999, the Overlord and Johnny Michaels left the federation to ownership, when they were counted out in a match against the McMahons, who took control of the federation.

The Dark Side was gone and so were the days of the RDWF. The Overlord began to realize what the pleasure of power had done to him. In February of 2000, the Overlord joined the TmWF, which was the TmWF rebuilt by new owner, ThaMaverick. The Overlord decided to return to what he had come into wrestling in the first place - to wrestle!

The Overlord found out that wrestling fairly was not an easy task. He however was a major player and pushed for the TmWF Title, which was formerly the RDWF Federation Title. He lost a four-way elimination match to former Dark Sider, Jerry Jolt in a match also featuring his brother Inferno, as well as Titan.

The night after, a furious Inferno decided to end his rivalry with the Overlord in a Buried Alive match! The match ended on the downside for the Overlord, when Jerry Jolt interfered in the match. The Overlord was taken to a cemetery in Death Valley, California and buried alive! The Overlord disappeared from the federation.

Jerry Jolt and his new faction had become the new force in wrestling. They had decided to take a rebel's approach to the group tactic and formed the New Alliance.

At the May pay-per-view, 'For Better or Worse', the Overlord had seemingly returned, along with the Dark Side. During Inferno's Inferno Championship Match with Jerry Jolt, the Dark Side symbol came down and Inferno was attacked and burned losing the Inferno Match. The suspect - the Overlord! But how? He had been buried!

For the next few weeks, the Overlord haunted the federation, especially Inferno, when the lights went out, the music played, and the burning Dark Side symbol of the Overlord came down! The federation was hectic upon the situation. Inferno then said that he knew the Overlord was back challenged the Overlord to a match at the next pay-per-view telling him to make his return then and face Inferno.

At the June pay-per-view, 'Redemption', the Overlord returned to face Inferno! He defeated him, however it was no easy task! It took a combination of several chokeslams and tombstones to pin Inferno, but the Overlord came out on top! With a great victory over Inferno, the Overlord is ready to once again push for federation gold!

To best way to do this was to win the upcoming Nuclear Meltdown (Royal Rumble) elimination contest to earn a title shot at the huge 'World War' pay-per-view event which pitted the current champion against the winner of the Nuclear Meltdown. The path to qualifying was not easy. After Inferno interfered in the Overlord's qualifying match, it looked as though the Overlord was not going to qualify. One week later, they Overlord appealed the decision and persuaded TmWF owner, Maverick, to turn the twenty-man Nuclear Meltdown event, into a thirty-man Nuclear Meltdown event! The Overlord and nine other superstars then qualified for the elimination contest.

Two weeks later at the July pay-per-view, 'Nuclear Meltdown 2000', the Overlord entered the Nuclear Meltdown contest at number twenty-four! This was indeed a great pick for the Overlord. After facing some tough competition from wrestlers like Titan, Jerry Jolt and Max Power, it came down to the Overlord and his brother, Inferno! Although it looked like Inferno was going to win after overpowering the Overlord, Inferno made the mistake of climbing the corner turnbuckle and was thus eliminated by the Overlord! The Overlord last eliminated his own brother Inferno in the Nuclear Meltdown elimination contest and now heads to the 'World War' pay-per-view in September as the number one contender!

It seemed like the Overlord had a clear path to the World Champion in September, but Inferno challenged the Overlord to a match at the TmWF August pay-per-view, 'Highway to Hell 2000'. Inferno wanted to make this their final battle, one that Inferno believed he would win. The match was made at Highway to Hell and also stated that if Inferno won the match, Inferno would go on to World War to face the champion! The Overlord made it a casket match, and on August 13 the match was viewed around the world! The myterious, Dark Archon interfered in the match to assist Inferno, but for some reason Titan came out to even up the odds. Inferno was shoved into the casket, and the Overlord won the match!

The Overlord went over a rocky road of attacks by Jerry Jolt on his path to the September pay-per-view 'World War 2000'. The week before the event, the Overlord teamed up with Rock-Hard and Titan in a six-man tag team against his current rival, Jerry Jolt along with ancient rival Bishop and Inferno, the Overlord's brother! The Overlord wanted payback! The Overlord, Rock-Hard and Titan won the match, however Jerry Jolt attacked Overlord after the match!

Early on the night of World War 2000, Johnny Michaels made a stipulation that if the Overlord won their match by disqualification, the title would still change hands! During the match, the referee caught Jerry Jolt low blowing the Overlord, giving him the victory and the title! However, the Overlord chose to defend the title against Jerry Jolt because he wanted to pin him. It seemed as if the Overlord would have the shortest reign in history when the New Alliance interfered on behalf of Jerry Jolt when the referee was knocked out! But things turned to the Overlord's favor and the Overlord was able to rid the ring of the New Alliance and then piledriver Jerry Jolt to retain the title!
